At a glance
You can use Water Jelly without creating an account or signing in.
Your water records and app preferences are stored locally by default.
If you opt in, the app writes new water entries to Apple Health but does not read existing Health data.
The app uses Google AdMob and its consent tools to display banner ads.

Information handled on your device
Water Jelly stores the following information on your device to provide its core features. The developer does not operate an account server and does not receive this information on a developer-owned server.

The app and widget share today's progress through an App Group container on the same device. Reminder schedules are managed on the device through Apple's local notification system.

Apple Health
Connecting Apple Health is optional. If you grant permission, Water Jelly saves water intake logged after connection, along with the entry time and metadata needed to identify entries created by the app.
- Water Jelly does not read your existing Apple Health data.
- Health information is never used for advertising personalization or ad targeting.
- When you delete a water entry in the app, Water Jelly also attempts to delete the matching entry it created in Apple Health.
- Information stored in Apple Health is managed under Apple's policies and your Health app settings.

Advertising and third-party processing
Water Jelly uses Google AdMob to display banner ads and Google User Messaging Platform to manage advertising privacy choices. The Google Mobile Ads SDK may automatically process the following information for ad delivery, measurement, security, diagnostics, and service improvement:
- General location estimated from an IP address
- Device identifiers or advertising identifiers
- Ad views, ad interactions, and other product interaction data
- Crash logs, diagnostics, and performance information
Water Jelly does not directly send your water records, daily goal, reminder settings, or Apple Health data to the Google advertising SDK. The exact processing may vary based on your region, consent choices, iOS tracking permission, and Google's policies.

Permissions and your choices

Retention and deletion
Water records and preferences remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. You can delete individual water entries from the Records screen. Uninstalling the app removes information from the app's local storage. Information already saved in Apple Health and advertising data processed by Google may be retained separately according to those services' policies and your settings.
If you contact support by email, your email address, message, and attachments may be processed to respond to your request and resolve the issue. Support correspondence is deleted when it is no longer needed, except where retention is required for legal compliance or dispute resolution.

Children's privacy
Water Jelly is not directed primarily to children. The developer does not knowingly collect children's personal information through an account or developer-operated server. Parents and guardians can manage notification, Apple Health, and tracking permissions on the device.

Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when app features, third-party SDKs, or applicable requirements change. If a material change is made, the effective date on this page will be updated and notice will be provided where appropriate.
